Terms of service

Applies to the Kada app and our website. Last updated 29 September 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Preethi Stores ("Kada", "we", "us"), 1/405, Princess Street, Fort Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala 682001, India, when you use the Kada app or order from us. By creating an account or placing an order, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use Kada

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under Indian law, and you must be ordering for a delivery address inside our service area. Accounts are personal; do not use someone else's number or let others use yours.

2. Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Keep your number and device secure — anyone with access to the code can access the account, and orders placed from it are treated as yours. Tell us at once if you think your account is being misused.

Keep your details accurate; wrong addresses and numbers are the most common reason a delivery fails.

3. Products, prices and taxes

Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include GST where applicable. A tax invoice is issued with your order.

Every charge is shown in your cart before you pay, and nothing is added afterwards. Where a delivery fee, handling fee or any similar charge applies to your order, it appears as its own line in the bill before you confirm. The total shown at checkout is the total you pay, adjusted only by a coupon you apply yourself, or by the item-level corrections described in clause 5.

Product images are illustrative. Packaging, brand batch and design may differ from the picture. We describe weight, pack size and, where relevant, shelf life.

Prices, offers and availability can change at any time before you place an order. We do not change the price of an order once it is confirmed.

Mistakes happen: if an item is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel that item or the order and refund you in full. We will tell you why.

4. Placing an order

Adding items to a cart is an invitation to treat, not a contract. The contract is formed when we confirm the order in the app.

Until then, and in the limited cases below afterwards, we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock, the address is outside our delivery area, the payment is not authorised, the order looks fraudulent or abusive, or circumstances beyond our control prevent delivery. If we cancel a paid order, you get a full refund.

5. Weight, availability and substitutions

6. Payment

You can pay by UPI, card, Kada Money, or cash on delivery where offered. Online payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive your card or UPI credentials.

If a payment is debited but the order does not confirm, the amount is either auto-reversed by your bank or refunded by us — see our cancellations and refunds policy.

7. Standing orders

If you set up a repeating order, we place it for you automatically on the days and slot you chose, at the prices and charges in force on the day it is placed — not the day you set it up. You can pause, change or cancel it at any time from your profile, and each order it creates can be cancelled on its own under clause 9. If an item in a standing order is unavailable that day, we place the rest and do not charge you for what is missing.

8. Delivery

At checkout you choose a delivery slot, which we deliver within, or instant delivery where it is offered, which we deliver within the time shown in the app. Either way we deliver to the address you pinned. Full detail — areas, slots, instant delivery and its fee, what happens if nobody is home, and how we handle delays — is in our delivery policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel free of charge until we start packing your order. What can be returned, the 72-hour window for damaged, missing or spoiled items, and refund timelines are set out in our cancellations and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Kada Money

Kada Money is the balance in your Kada wallet. Money you add to it, and refunds or rewards we credit to it, can be used to pay for orders with us. It is not a payment instrument, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred to another person or withdrawn to a bank account. Minimum and maximum top-up amounts are shown on the wallet screen. If you delete your account, any Kada Money left in it is lost and cannot be refunded — spend it first. If we close your account for breach of these terms, we will return any remaining balance you paid in, less anything you owe us.

Referral rewards. When we run a referral offer, a customer who joins with your code and has their first order delivered can earn you a reward — Kada Money or a coupon, as shown in the app at the time. It is paid once per new customer, only for a genuinely new customer (not someone returning on a new account), and a code must be added before that customer's first order. We may change or end the offer at any time, and we may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through fake accounts or other abuse.

11. Reviews and content

You can rate and review a product only after it has actually been delivered to you, and your review must reflect your own experience. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, misleading, or that infringes someone's rights.

We may remove content that breaks these rules or hide it while we check. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it in the app and on our site alongside the product.

12. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no scraping, reverse engineering, automated ordering, probing our systems, interfering with other users, abusing riders or staff, abusing promotional codes or creating accounts to claim first-order offers repeatedly, or reselling what you buy from us as a business without our written agreement. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

13. Our intellectual property

The Kada name, logo, app, website, design and content are ours or our licensors'. Brand names and product packaging shown in the catalogue belong to their respective owners and appear only to identify the goods we sell. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app to shop with us — nothing more.

14. Availability of the service

We try to keep Kada running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, delivery areas, slots or the whole service, and we may require you to update the app to keep using it.

15. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Indian law — including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or opportunity, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — floods, strikes, civil unrest, power or network failure, government action or similar.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you post.

17. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Kada and delete your account at any time — see section 10 of our privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or repeated abuse of riders or staff, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination do.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. The terms that apply to an order are the ones in force when you placed it.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Ernakulam, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please give us a chance to fix it — most complaints are resolved the same day.

20. Grievance officer

In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021:

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month.
